A spiritual path is a journey of self discovery. It begins by learning who you truly are when you take away the toxic thinking of our society – all the lies and manipulations and misconceptions. The Self is divinely guided, yet we constantly push Them away because of our FEAR. We tend to make our fear, terror, panic, and pain our higher powers. They are extraordinary beasts. So it’s our job to release those poisonous forces, whenever possible and healthy, to allow for growth and awakening.
People talk a lot about having a spiritual awakening… as if there’s only one!
Our first spiritual awakening may be subtle or may be a burning bush white light experience. Each of us has our own journey. That said, if we are on a lifelong spiritual path, the spiritual awakenings are endless. I heard someone once day, “if you’re not growing, you’re dying”, and it has really stuck with me. And if I’m constantly growing my spiritual Self, of course I’m going to be gifted many spiritual awakenings. Not many people achieve Enlightenment in this lifetime… that’s why our soul rotates on and off Mother Earth so many times. We are all working towards Enlightenment by embracing our Buddha Nature, or Higher Self.
There’s so many languages spiritual people speak, and I tend to speak a little of everything. I don’t believe we need to be constricted to any one way or path. Leading a spiritual life is not the same as being religious. Many folks who are religious are extremely lacking any kind of real spirituality, but of course, not all. I grew up in a church and almost everyone there was achingly devoid of spirituality, including my family. Anything fear based is not what Higher Power wants for us. We are love, and only love. Where love exists, fear does not.
At the end of the day, the goal is to be happy, healthy, and free.
